1 Week Trip in Tokyo, Japan
This is a Tokyo,Japan one week holiday plan for you for a single adult person or two for less than $6000 . The trip includes exploring various of tourist spots, and they are: , Mt Fuji, Shops that are only in Japan, the Sky Tree, cruise in lake Ashi, experience the Bullet Train, Hokane National Park, get to visit different temples and a shrine, the Tokyo Disneyland ,staying in to some decent hotels, and also visit the architecture of the Nijo Castle and the Imperial Palace in Kyoto.
Arrival in Tokyo
The Air New Zealand one way flight to and from for only $499 and the rentalcar/s cost from $219.52 NZD. There are a lot of hotels near the Narita airport but I recommend the Mitsui Garden Hotel which is 51.1 km away and it will cost you $556 NZD (cheapest) for 2 nights . The Mitsui Garden Hotel is a 4 star hotel and it is the nearest hotel to the Narita airport and it also offers a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, a hot tub, free wifi and good view from the outside and the Tokyo Bay. Remember that the price doesn't include breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Day 2: Tokyo Disney Land
Driving to the Tokyo Disney Land from the the Mitsui Garden Hotel will only take 19 minutes but it will take you about 23 minutes if there is traffic. If you don't know the way, go here. To park your car outside Disney Land, you will have to pay ¥2,000/22NZD and to enter, you will have to play ¥6,400 72.71 NZD (1 day pass) and this includes all the attractions and shows. Do not worry if you are a non-Japanese speaker, because there are English speaking cast members and an English map is also provided in the Main Street House inside Disney Land or you can download the map/s here now.
Day 3: Shops and Sky Tree
Since this is the last day that you're staying in the Mitsui Garden Hotel, it would be good to go shopping in to some shops near the hotel before leaving. If you are the geeky type, you might want to go to the Jump Shop and the Pokemon Centre but if you want to buy some japan made items, i suggest that you go to the Harajuku which is 21 minutes away from the hotel and is known to be the center of Japanese culture and fashion. When the night comes or you are done shopping, it is a good idea to go the Tokyo Sky Tree and have dinner there. There are a lot of various things that you can do in the Sky Tree and it will also have a beautiful scenery when you reach the top.The Sky tree will cost you ¥2,000/22NZD ( 350 m only) but if you want to go higher to 450 m will have to pay ¥1000/11.36 NZD For more more info about the sky tree, go here and If you want to reserve your ticket now go here. After all that, you can have a relaxing sleep and enjoy your last night in the Mitsui Garden Hotel.
(Note: You do these activities vise versa but I would prefer to do the given order because at night, the Sky Tree shines the brightest).
